Where You Should Eat: Best Sandwich in Miami

We know that Miami is the land of the best Cuban food outside of Cuba, and therefore the Cuban Sandwich holds mythical status up and down South Florida. A few notable favorites for a great Cuban are Enriqueta’s Sandwich Shop in the Wynwood area, OR Sanguich De Miami in little Havana. Both will land on every list of great Cuban and great sandwiches in the area, and deservedly so, we tip our hat to a great Cuban sando.

Having said all of that, there is a sandwich window that has launched into my top 5 sandwiches of all time list. The Italian stallion, BOTTA, is the stuff I dream about when I’m reminiscing on walking cobbled streets in Rome. The ingredients are simple, nothing is over complicated, no 10 ingredient sandwiches. All ingredients are either freshly made or shipped from Italy, and you can taste that difference!

My favorite items at BOTTA are the Italian Ham sando, which has the most delicious house made mayo and a thick hunk of fresh Mozzarella, the absolute stuff of dreams. I cannot stress enough, the simplicity here is everything!!!

Beside there life changing sandos, they have mini square pizzas and fresh made lasagna. We shared a pesto pizza with our sandwiches, and again, just unbelievable flavor with a perfect dough. If you are in the Miami area make sure you stop by and grab a quick bite to eat, the small strip mall they are in is filled with communal kitchens and likeminded small business owners launching their creative and unique yummies in compact and affordable spaces. Come support all these awesome entrepreneurs, and grub down on the best sandwiches in South Florida!!
